Laminaria Pallida
L. pallida, more commonly referred to as Split-fan kelp, is a species predominately found in the shallow coastal waters of the west coast of South Africa and Namibia. It is harvested for domestic and industrial purposes such as thickening agents and pharmaceutical supplements [1].
